Developing TMFG’s role as transport market enabler - Janne Lautanala appointed Chief Ecosystem and Technology Officer

Janne Lautanala has been appointed Chief Ecosystem and Technology Officer of Traffic Management Finland Group (TMFG) from 1 August 2019. He will be responsible for the traffic management company’s technology and ecosystem development. His area of responsibility will cover the design, implementation and operation of transport ecosystem services with a view to enabling growth in the transport business market.

Janne Lautanala will be responsible for designing, implementing and operating TMFG’s common operational digital architecture. Target of the position is to enable the operational transformation of our Traffic Management Group as a driving force for the development of the sector and to fully exploit the integration and synergies between our various modes of transport. He will also be responsible for generating company synergies through concise shared IT services.

Janne Lautanala will be a member of TMFG’s Executive Board and he will report to CEO Juko Hakala.

Lautanala’s previous position was with Wärtsilä. He was stationed in Singapore under the title General Manager, Open Innovation. In addition, he has a solid background in IT and analytics as well as extensive experience in international business in the Nordic countries, Asia, the US and the UK.
